“Danny” is based on
a true story about a
father wanting his
surname to remain
his son’s last name.
After two lower
courts ruled in his
favor, the Supreme
Court reversed that
decision. The
Justice ruled in
favor of the mother
and allowed the
boy’s last name to
be changed to the
step-fathers. Even
an attempt to |

use a
hyphenated surname
was denied.
Faced with no way
out, Danny Syms
takes the life of
his ten year old son
and then goes after
the person he feels
responsible for his
actions – the
Justice.
In an elaborate
plan, Danny takes |

the Justice hostage
and through a
series of
masochistic
exercises, makes the
Justice a victim of
his own
insensitivity
concerning a man’s
legacy.
Perhaps Danny is
crazy. Maybe he was
pushed. But time and
again we have seen
what happens when
